Welcoming The Bootstrapper Guild: Will You Join Us?

Friends and fellow riskologists,

Today, I’m excited to announce that my latest business project, The Bootstrapper Guild, is opening for 3 days only. The goal of the project is simple:

Help you grow a low-overhead business that adds freedom to your life.

Why The Bootstrapper Guild? Why Now?

Good question.

The Bootstrapper Guild exists because so many people want to start their own business (more than 60% of Americans according to recent surveys), but overestimate what it takes to get started or don’t know what their first step should be.

Years ago, that was me. I wanted the freedom of a business, but I didn’t really know where to start:

  • What should I do first?
  • How do I know people will buy my product/service?
  • Where do I find my first client?
  • How do I know I have a good business idea?

Through more than a decade of trial and error, I ended up starting a number of micro-businesses—little companies (emphasis on little) that cost less than $100 to begin and never had any employees.

For the first few years, I didn’t even realize I was starting businesses. In my mind, I was just finding interesting ways to make some side income.

When I was 16, I was a one-man landscaping business with exactly one client. Then, I started a small labor cartel with a few friends later in high school. We helped local farmers during the harvest seasons. In college, I needed more money for groceries, so I bought and sold concert tickets (yep, I was ticket scalper!).

Now, I run this site (for free) and a few small business projects online that support me full-time.

Basically, when I needed some extra income, I found ways to use skills I already had to provide some type of simple product or service to people who were happy to pay for it.

No offices, no employees, no loans, fax machines, business suits, or other things generally considered “business necessities.” Just a good offer and small group of people who were willing to pay me for it.

Starting a micro-business is not difficult as long as—and this is very important—you don’t overcomplicate the process.

What you’ll learn inside The Bootstrapper Guild are the concrete, absolute necessities that you must do to get your own micro-business started and headed in the right direction, no matter what type of business you want to start.

And nothing more.

No extra filler. No long-winded theory. Just the essentials. And we’ll go over these essentials again and again until your micro-business is operating and profitable.

Once that’s done, we’ll help you grow your business each month by doing one tiny thing, and we’ll support you along the way with monthly Q&A calls (so you can ask difficult and specific questions) and 24/7 access to our community of motivated bootstrappers just like you (so you always have people to bounce ideas off of).

And What’s Inside?

The Bootstrapper Guild is all about simplicity. There are just four pieces to it:

  • The Bootstrapper’s Quick Start Course – We’ll cover all the basics in this course so that your new micro-business heads the right direction (read: profitable) from the beginning.
  • Monthly Strategy Sessions – You’ll improve one small piece of your business every month (without getting overwhelmed) through a series of focused lessons you can implement immediately.
  • A Monthly Conference Call – Have a “very specific question?” Get it answered live at one of our monthly Q&A calls so that there’s no confusion about what direction to head or what to do next.
  • The Bootstrapper Community – Need some help working through an idea? We have a whole community of bootstrappers just like you that want to help you get your business started. We’re here 24/7.

That’s it. No bells and whistles. No complicated guides or processes. Just a few tools to help you focus on the #1 goal:

Build a low-overhead business that adds freedom to your life.

The Bottom Line: Will You Join Us?

Starting a micro-business that you can run by yourself in your spare time should not be an overly stressful process. And I think we’ve done a great job putting together a program that accomplishes that.

If that all sounds good to you, and you’ve got $1 to get started, then I hope you’ll check it out. Here’s the link to register:
